Farewell 2025

We are on the cusp of 2026. Here are the final pictures of 2025 and all of our December Fun:

We started the month by honoring the evergreen tree that has been brought into homes and dressed with symbols of light long before our Christmas traditions.

First we had a lesson on warm and cool colors.  We learned that mixing them can muddy our intentions, but they can be added carefully. We did a wet on wet watercolor technique (warm or cool) to paint our backgrounds. Then, the children chose their preferred strips of colors and patterns and created their own tree, adding spangles at the end.

Every year, the children get to create their own holiday T-shirts. This year, the snowman was very popular! Take a look at their creations...

We had a crafts day on our last Wednesday. We made Holiday cards with torn paper, punches, and craft scissors

We also tried our hand at weaving by making Kwanzaa Mkeka. Thanks for your help Nana Claus!

And finally, each child made their own snow person poppet:

The poppets watched from their cubbies for the rest of the day...lol!

On our last day, we joined Mrs. Kirby's and Mrs. Taylor's classes to watch the Muppet Christmas Carol.
After our lunch recess, the PTA and parent volunteers surprised us with popcorn and hot chocolate!

We had an all school assembly to sing holiday songs together, and then it was time to go. The PTA gave us a great send of and Charlie Cheetah gave us a goodbye group hug!

And that's a wrap for 2025!
I am wishing you and yours a very HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!
We will see you on Monday...same cheetah time, same cheetah channel!
😉💖
