And So It Goes

 Well.... I certainly never anticipated the year ending the way it did for me...but as they say, life is what happens when you've made other plans. So...let's take our final look back at what I thought was an excellent year. Land Forms and Erosion We had lessons on Earth's land forms; mountains, buttes, valleys, rivers, canyons, etc. Next, we did a study on the action of water upon the Earth. We had learned that water flows from the high places to the lower. So we built a mountain out of corn meal. Then we created a source of rain to drip on our mountain. As we observed, the steady drip of water eventually eroded our mountain, creating many of the landforms we had learned about. For our Earth Day art, we created a circular painting to represent the Earth, then we included all of the landforms that we could! The results were very special. Speaking of Earth Day...we had our Cheetah Walk. It was a great day...not too hot or cold. The children walked the path around our school ...
